Go Green - Case Study - TCN GREEN EYED LANDLORD SUPPORTS TENANTS
The assessment and tailored action plan were drawn up as part of southlondon.biz’ Go Green Plus programme, encouraging small and medium sized businesses to take action on waste and energy, water and CO2 reduction by reducing, reusing and recycling. TCN was identified as one business that could potentially make financial and environmental savings through the service. ACHIEVEMENTS:
Following advice from Go Green Plus Phillipe Castiang of Opus Café, who will be opening an onsite café, TCN has negotiated additional recycling facilities of plastic bottles and glass for the tenants with the current recycling provider and will be diverting rain water to water vegetation in the area around the new bike stands. Laura Hansford found the advice and support provided by Go Green Plus invaluable and is delighted to have reached the final of the 2010 Lambeth Awards for Best Green Business. “We have already recommended the Go Green Plus initiative to our tenants and on this basis we would definitely recommend the service to other landlords and businesses in the south London area,” she said.
